Prices

Newcomers to the class are expected to complete a compulsory series of 16 introductory lessons at £7.50 each. Once you are invited to train at the organisation an annual membership of £40 will need to be paid. This covers full membership and insurance for the next 12 months and includes a club T-shirt. Membership and insurance is renewable annually and subsequent years are £30.00.

Once a student is a member, lessons are £30.00 a month, which will allow you to train at any or all of the class locations.

What to Expect

You can start at any time as the organisation runs an ongoing introductory group. The basics of Wing Chun are taught to newcomers during a compulsory series of 16 introductory lessons. During this time each potential student is assessed by the Sifu (teacher) and his instructors, who review their attendance and punctuality along with attitude and suitability to training within the Birmingham Wing Chun Kuen. At the end of the introductory course the Sifu will decide whether to invite and accept the applicant as a student of the school and association. If the student accepts to join the association and continue their studies; they will then complete an acceptance assessment covering the basics they have been taught.

There is no uniform or formal training clothing required at this stage; training or jogging trousers, a plain t-shirt/sweatshirt and training shoes are all that is necessary.

Still not sure? You are welcome to come along to one of our training sessions to watch and ask further questions. Alternatively, please feel free to ask a question using our online form here.
